This stretch of Cross Creek in Colorado is -blank- miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The Park Range scenery is wonderful. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this     state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The Cross Creek stretch is the only paddling stretch along Cross Creek. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. There's camping available near Cross Creek. The starting location is a short drive from Edwards, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Briefly about the general area: Having a wonderful time in the Park Range is uncomplicated. A great spot near Cross Creek is Bishop Gulch, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Vail. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Cross Creek reach the 80's with night lows in the 40's. Highs   during the wintertime are usually in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Cross Creek temperatures plunge to the 0's. At Cross Creek you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through July, and February is when it's the driest.
