some time outdoors will make you glad you came. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The put-in location is a short drive from Grand Junction,
| as you can see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling spots.

trail. You'll meet a lot of people from Bedrock here, and magnificent hiking is available along the Radium Trail. This river has it all. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Dolores River get into the
90's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Dolores River. Dolores River is pretty dry frequently. Of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; June on the other hand is the driest.
