The starting location is a reasonable drive from Edwards, as you can see on the road map further down. The campgrounds here at Eagle River are pretty good. The average Colorado whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Whitewater paddling here in the Park Range is a great experience. This stretch is mid length,     you can easily run it on an afternoon. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. This section of Eagle River is 4 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V(V+) section. The Redcliff to Tigiwan Rd stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. Lodging is available near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Eagle River gets very little rainfall; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. While staying at Eagle River you could always look at Bishop Gulch, and brilliant hiking is available along   the Fall Creek Trail. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Park Range. Throughout the summer highs here at Eagle River get into the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Eagle River.
