  The Tabernash to Granby stretch of Fraser River is 9.4 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Colorado and the water flowing gracefully down Fraser River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The average Colorado whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. There are no other sections to paddle along Fraser River than the Tabernash to Granby section. There
    are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There's camping available near Fraser River. The starting location is a short drive from Silverthorne, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further
down the page. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people.

Really tremendous skiing awaits you at SolVista. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Fraser River get into the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Fraser River tend to be in the-10's.
