The Uinta Mountains scenery is wonderful. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The scenic beauty of Colorado and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. The campgrounds here at Green River are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,     either way this is an area with not too many other spots for that. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. A stretch of this length does require some preparations, so it looks like you will be camping out. This stretch of Green River in Moffat County is 44 miles long and it is classified as a class II-IV section by American Whitewater. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Green River gets very little rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month is January. Green River is right by the Jones Hole Trail. For the duration of the days of summer at Green River temperatures are regularly in the 90's. When the night   sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Green River.
