The nature scenery of Colorado and the cool fresh water beats anything. Grizzly Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the 1 mile up trail to Grizzly Creek Rest Area section is the only one. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance     because these hotels fill up quick. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. This stretch of Grizzly Creek is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is an extremely short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Briefly about the general area: A glorious place right next door to Grizzly Creek is Deadmans Gulch. Grizzly Creek is commonly a reasonably dried out site; most of the rain falls during October, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime highs at Grizzly Creek commonly tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's.
