Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. This section of Gunnison River in Colorado is 18 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here     you'll find a large number of good places. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado are harder than the national norm, so if you're not from around here don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This is the only paddling stretch along Gunnison River. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Briefly about the general area: Blinberry Gulch is in the neighborhood of Gunnison River and is a great place. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Gunnison River reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Gunnison River dipping down into the-10's through winter nights.
