Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. This is the only paddling section along Jasper Creek. The campgrounds here at Jasper Creek are pretty good. This is an extremely short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Whitewater paddling

Briefly about the general area: It is very dry here at Jasper Creek usually; August is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. The warmest time of the year at Jasper Creek arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Jasper Creek dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Going for a hike on the Switzerland Trail is always a delightful adventure.
