The natural beauty of unknown County and the playfulness of the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.     The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Colorado are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. It is very dried out here at Lime Creek frequently; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is June. You just have to adore the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
