The Lower 25 miles to San Juan confluence section of Navajo River is 25 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay
the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The beautiful San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is an added bonus. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There are campgrounds
quite near the river where you can camp. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Lower 25 miles to San Juan confluence stretch is one of them. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.
