Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Colorado is often tougher than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The wonderful Gunnison County     scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Oh Be Joyful Creek are pretty good. This stretch is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This is the only paddling stretch along Oh Be Joyful Creek. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places.
