This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The wild scenery of the Sawatch Range is great. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The starting point is not too far from Edwards, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: It is very dry here at Roaring Fork mostly; April is the month that gets the most rain,   and June meanwhile is the driest month. Roaring Fork is in close proximity to Cerise Gulch which is beyond doubt worth a visit. Summertime at Roaring Fork arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 50's.
