This stretch of Rock Creek in Colorado is 7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V+ section. The starting location is a short drive from Edwards, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This is the only paddling section along Rock Creek. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day     paddling trip. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The river winds through the Park Range and you get great scenery. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: Go for a hike on the Tepee Creek Trail. Rock Creek is regularly a reasonably dried out spot; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. High   temperatures at Rock Creek through the days of summer are in the 70's while nighttime lows are commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows at Rock Creek through the wintertime usually sink into the 0's.
