Boulder
county,
Buttonrock Preserve to CR 80 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS IV(V) 1.8 miles
The average Colorado whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The nature scenery of Colorado and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. No shortage of good hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
