The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead to Confluence stretch of Saint Vrain Creek - South in Boulder County is 5.5 miles long     and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V+ section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling spots. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beauty of the Front Range is a great plus for this river. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Briefly about the general area: Not much rainfall falls here at Saint Vrain Creek - South; most of the rain falls through August while November   is usually the driest month. There is a nice hiking trail next to Saint Vrain Creek - South called the North Sheep Mountain Trail, and a delightful spot nearby is Gillman Gulch.
