The put-in location is a short drive from Boulder, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Colorado tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead to Confluence section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. lots of good places for that around here. The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead to Confluence section of Saint Vrain Creek - South is 5.5 miles long and is a class V+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Colorado scenery and the playfulness of the water
are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The wild scenery of the Front Range is great. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip.
Briefly about the general area: If you're here, you might as well visit Gillman Gulch, and there are glorious places to explore along the North Sheep Mountain Trail. It is very dried up here at
