The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead to Confluence section of Saint Vrain Creek - South in Boulder County is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V+ section. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Boulder, as you can see on the road map further down. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The scenic beauty of Boulder County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Colorado are often tougher
than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around
here you'll find a large number of good places. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Front Range and you get great scenery. The Ceran St. Vrain Trailhead to Confluence stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system.
