You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Colorado you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance
then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The scenic beauty of Colorado and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. A bit of exercise and just
being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. The river winds through the San Juan Mountains and you get great scenery. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp.
