The BB 36 Road to Green Truss Bridge stretch of San Miguel River in Colorado is 5.2 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. On this section you do get some distance, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The beautiful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you won't find a large number of other rivers. You might
have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the BB 36 Road to Green Truss Bridge section is one of them.
There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The scenic beauty of Colorado and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.
