This stretch of South Platte River - North Fork in Park/Jefferson County is 10.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. The natural beauty of Park/Jefferson County and the cool fresh water beats anything. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter,
