The natural beauty of Colorado and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The Pine Valley Ranch to Anderson Camp section is the only paddling section along Sweetwater Creek. This stretch of Sweetwater Creek in Colorado is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Since you're on this site you
are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling places. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers
here are not suitable for beginners. The campgrounds here at Sweetwater Creek are pretty good. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
