The natural beauty of Colorado and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The Close to Copper Mountain Ski Area to Dillon Reservoir section of Tenmile Creek in -blank- County is 4.2 miles long and is a class III-V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This stretch is mid length, you can easily run it on an afternoon. This is the only
paddling stretch along Tenmile Creek. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back
for more. There's camping available near Tenmile Creek. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
Briefly about the general area: Throughout the long summer days at Tenmile Creek highs are mostly in the 70's, and the night is a tad chillier of course, typically in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Tenmile Creek dipping down into
the 0's throughout winter nights. You have to stop at Frisco Bay when you're here at Tenmile Creek; don't leave Tenmile Creek without first going for a hike along the Miners Creek Trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Copper Mountain is near Tenmile Creek, and there's
good hiking along the Lily Pad Lake Trail. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Tenmile Creek is pretty dry generally; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
