This stretch of Woods Creek is 0.5 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. This section is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. When you're paddling down a Park Range river like this one you always get great scenery
along the way too. There's camping available near Woods Creek. The beautiful scenery of Colorado and the cool fresh water attract people from near and far. Woods Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Reservoir to Confluence with West Fork Clear Creek stretch is the
only one. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The starting point is not too far from Silverthorne, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

throughout the winter for Woods Creek tend to be in the-10's. Not much rain falls here at Woods Creek; July is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. There's pleasant hiking along the Sevenmile Ski Trail, and needless to say, A tour to Vasquez Pass is always fun.
