The 85 Road to Deer Lodge Park Road section of Yampa River in Moffat County is 4.8 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV(V) section. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The 85 Road to Deer Lodge
    Park Road section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. The beautiful scenery of Colorado and the water flowing gracefully down
Yampa River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set.
