If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The 85 Road to Deer Lodge Park Road section of Yampa River in Moffat County is 4.8 miles long and it is classified as a class IV(V) section by American Whitewater. | reasons enough to come here and paddle. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with not too many other rivers for that.
