kayaking spots in Connecticut tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. This section is very short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
