The Route 341 to Route 67 section of Shepaug River in Connecticut is 6.5 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of Litchfield County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. The put-in is not too far from Torrington, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day
trip. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only paddling stretch along Shepaug River. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,
