The nature scenery of Connecticut and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. This stretch of Still River is 0.1 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature     are sure to keep you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Still River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Above Sandy Brook section is the only one. There's camping available near Still River. This is an extremely short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Connecticut are often more forgiving than in other states, so keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. Briefly about the general area: Not far from Still River you can enjoy the trees of Algonquin State Forest. Much rain falls at Still River; most of the rain falls through August while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warm months highs here at   Still River reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Still River.
