The starting point is not too far from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Litchfield County scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. to Gaylordsville Ct section of Tenmile in Connecticut is 4.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-III section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Since you're on this site
you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip.
