The starting location is a reasonable drive from Lake City, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling section along Falling Creek. This is a very short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a     lot of people coming here. There are some good hotels near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch of Falling Creek in Columbia County is 0.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III section.
