The beautiful scenery of Columbia County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Lake City, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. Lodging is available near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For     all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling section along Falling Creek. This is an extremely short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the warm months at Falling Creek temperatures are commonly in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Falling Creek.
