places. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Briefly about the general area: Jones Gap is a fine place to visit next to Allen Creek, and Lumpkin Spring is always fun to check out. Through the summer, highs regularly are in the 80's at Allen Creek, and the overnight
is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Allen Creek. This is such a great river. The high level of rain makes Allen Creek a quite wet place; the wettest month of the year
is generally March, that's the one that rains the most while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Allen Creek is not far at all from Summerville, and while you're here at Allen Creek, checking out Huckleberry Point is a must.
