The put-in is not too far from Gainesville, as you can see on the road map further down. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of spots for that.     For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. The wonderful Dawson County scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came.
