There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the High Shoals - Highway 186 to Price Mill stretch is one of them. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Athens-Clarke County, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other rivers for that.
