The natural beauty of White/Habersham/Hall County and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the USFS Road 44 to Robertson section is just one of many. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for
that. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Georgia you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy.
No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The USFS Road 44 to Robertson section of Chattahoochee River in White/Habersham/Hall County is 7 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is wonderful. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.

at Chattahoochee River temperatures sink to the 20's. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is bountiful here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hiking along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail is brilliant fun. Chattahoochee River sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is October.
