The scenic beauty of White/Habersham/Hall County and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Cornelia, as you can see on the road map further down. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your sleeping bag. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners.
There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit
of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. The Robertson to GA Route 115 section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. This section of Chattahoochee River in Georgia is 16 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater.
