If you're coming from Cornelia it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. The wonderful Georgia scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. If you're a camper you can camp     at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The GA Route 115 to Duncan Bridge Road section of Chattahoochee River in White/Habersham/Hall County is 4 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-III section of whitewater. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots.
