The Bull Pen Bridge to Burrells Ford Bridge stretch of Chattooga River is 5 miles long and it is classified as a class III-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Georgia is often tougher than elsewhere, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds
here at Chattooga River are pretty good. If you're coming from Seneca it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an
afternoon. The Bull Pen Bridge to Burrells Ford Bridge section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. When you're paddling down a Blue Ridge Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more.

Falls is a charming place to take a look at while you're at Chattooga River. Nearby Jim Harden Gap is a tremendous place to go if you're at Chattooga River, and the Burrells Ford Trail is a good hiking trail close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Chattooga River a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
