This stretch of Chattooga River in Georgia is 11.3 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-V section of whitewater. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Burrell's Ford to Highway 28 Bridge section is just one of them. flowing gracefully down Chattooga River beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Georgia you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners.
The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
