The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Seneca, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Rabun GA / Oconee SC County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are so many sections to paddle in this river system, the Highway 28 Putin to Earl's Ford section is just one of many. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no
problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Georgia tend to be more challenging than the national average,
so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great plus for this river.
