The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Chattooga River is 13 miles long and is a class II-III+(IV) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Earls Ford to Route 76 Bridge stretch is one of many paddling stretches in this river system. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.
