  The starting point is not too far from Seneca, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The natural beauty of Georgia and the cool fresh water beats anything. This section of Chattooga River - West Fork is 5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging
    than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The Overflow Creek Road Bridge to Highway 28 Boater's Access section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery.
There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. There's camping available near Chattooga River - West Fork.

Going for a hike along the Burrells Ford Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; Pigpen Gap is around here, and is a great place. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While you're here at Chattooga River - West Fork you can take a hike along the Three Forks Trail.
