  The starting location is a reasonable drive from Seneca, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The average Georgia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The natural beauty of Georgia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come.
    The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is wonderful. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Overflow Creek Road Bridge to Highway 28 Boater's Access section of Chattooga River - West Fork in Rabun County is 5 miles
long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. This stretch has has enough mileage, good for a one day paddling trip. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. The campgrounds here at Chattooga River - West Fork are pretty good. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that.

Hiking is a popular thing to do around Chattooga River - West Fork; Three Forks Trail is a glorious local trail; Chattooga River - West Fork is in the vicinity of Pigpen Gap which is undeniably worth going to.
The high level of rainfall makes Chattooga River - West Fork a relatively wet location; during March this area sees the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's good hiking along the Burrells Ford Trail.
