The natural beauty of Lumpkin County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. A good workout
and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. This section is quite short so you'd better be prepared
to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Grindle Falls Road to Copper Mine section is one of them. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great.
