The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. is an added bonus. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The Coleman River Road to Tallulah River section is the only paddling section along Coleman River. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the
river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Coleman River Road to Tallulah River section of Coleman River in Georgia is 2.7 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. The starting location is a short drive from Cornelia, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and October meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the summer months at Coleman River highs are typically in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows at Coleman River through the wintertime frequently drop into the 20's.
