The Coleman River Road to Tallulah River stretch of Coleman River is 2.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class V section. The wonderful Georgia scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Coleman River will make you feel great. The put-in is not too far from Cornelia, as you can see on the road map further down. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations you might end
up sleeping in your car. The beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great plus for this river. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Coleman River are pretty good. The sections for whitewater rafting
and kayaking here in Georgia are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This stretch is short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are no other sections to paddle along Coleman River than the Coleman River Road to Tallulah River section.

highs at Coleman River generally tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Coleman River tend to be in the 20's.
