The put-in location is a short drive from Cleveland, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,     either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Georgia are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Conasauga River you can take a hike along the Cloer Trail. Going for a hike along the Gryder Camp Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Chicken Coop Gap is a tremendous spot to have a look at. Summertime at Conasauga River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are mostly in   the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Conasauga River tend to be in the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Conasauga River a wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while October is frequently the driest month.
