The average Georgia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. The put-in is not too far from Toccoa, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of Rabun County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. There are some good hotels near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This
