If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The GA 52 to Close to Lake Lanier section of Little River - East Fork in Georgia is 2.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III+ section of whitewater. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more.     The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The GA 52 to Close to Lake Lanier stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. This is a bit of a short stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
