This section of Flat Creek in Hall County is 2.1 miles long and it is classified as a class II-III(V+) section by American Whitewater. The wonderful Hall County scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Flat Creek will make you feel great. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. This is a pretty short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Great exercise and just being out on
the river for a while are great reasons to come. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The GA 52 to Glades section is the only paddling section along Flat Creek.
The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The starting location is a short drive from Gainesville, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
