The beautiful scenery of Georgia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Georgia is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great     campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with not too many other rivers for that. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. Briefly about the general area: You might want to pay a visit to Pleasant Valley while you're here at Flint River. Flint River usually gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months   in a year March is the one with the most rain; the driest month is October. Summer at Flint River comes with high temperatures in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Flint River dipping down into the 30's during winter nights.
