The Sprewell Bluff State Park to Po Biddy Road section of Flint River is 9.1 miles long and has been rated as a class I-III section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Thomaston it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state
are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number
of other spots. The natural beauty of Georgia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. There are no other sections to paddle along Flint River than the Sprewell Bluff State Park to Po Biddy Road section.
