might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The river winds through the Blue Ridge Mountains and you get great scenery. There's camping available near Frogtown Creek. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. This is a pretty short section so no need to bring snacks.

the 60's. All through the winter the highs are typically in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Frogtown Creek. Lots of rainfall falls at Frogtown Creek; most of the rain falls during March, and October is when it's the driest.
