The nature scenery of Lumpkin County and the water flowing gracefully down Frogtown Creek are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There's camping available near Frogtown Creek. The wild scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains is great. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The US 19 to US 19 at Turners Corner stretch is the only paddling stretch along Frogtown Creek. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these
hotels fill up quick. The US 19 to US 19 at Turners Corner stretch of Frogtown Creek is 2.9 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V(V+) section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Georgia is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes.

gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Frogtown Creek are in the 20's. The high level of rainfall makes Frogtown Creek a pretty wet place; March is the month that gets the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture.
