If you're coming from Seneca it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. The wonderful Georgia scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. The FS Road 86B bridge to Three Forks of West Fork Chattooga stretch is the only paddling stretch along Holcombe Creek. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a bit of a short stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. There's camping available near Holcombe Creek. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is wonderful.

winter the highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Holcombe Creek dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. So much amusing stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just striking. On a good day at Holcombe Creek you can take a hike along the Burrells Ford Trail.
If the weather is pleasant here at Holcombe Creek, you can go for a hike along the Three Forks Trail, and nearby you come across brilliant places like Owl Gap. Holcombe Creek commonly gets a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is regularly March, that's the one that rains the most while July is regularly the driest month.
