The wonderful Georgia scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Holly Creek are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This stretch of Holly Creek in Murray County is 3.21 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV(V) section of whitewater. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. Holly Creek
doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Cohutta Wilderness stretch is the only one. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. The rivers for whitewater
rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.
