Hudson River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Wilson Shoals WMA stretch is the only one. This section of Hudson River in Banks County is 2 miles long and is a class I-III+ section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away     from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Georgia is often tougher than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. A good workout and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Briefly about the general area: At Hudson River through the summer months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the   20's to Hudson River.
