This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The Skitts Mountain Road to Chattahoochee section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The nature scenery of Hall County and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Little John Creek; the night is a bit chillier of course, usually in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Little John Creek dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights.   A great deal of precipitation falls at Little John Creek; the wettest month of the year is generally March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is the month with the least moisture.
